Phnom Penh — H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, on April 1, 2026 hosted a working lunch with Ms. Zou Jiayi, President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), to exchange views and strengthen cooperation on infrastructure and development priorities in Cambodia.

The discussion focused on ongoing and pipeline collaboration, particularly the Urban Sustainable Water Supply Development Project (USWSDP), which aims to expand clean water infrastructure and support Cambodia’s goal of universal access to clean water by 2030. 

Both sides also explored future cooperation under the 2026–2028 Country Cooperation Framework, including potential additional financing and new projects to scale up water supply infrastructure, enhance climate resilience, and strengthen institutional capacity.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between Cambodia and AIIB in advancing sustainable and inclusive development.
