South Korea — A Cambodian delegation from the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) along with representatives of local Cambodian food manufacturers conducted a week-long study trip to South Korea from June 7-14, 2025. The visit aimed to explore advanced food industry practices, foster bilateral cooperation, and identify growth opportunities for Cambodia’s food sector.
During their time in Korea, the delegates visited several prominent institutions, including the Korea Food Research Institute (KFRI), food industrial cluster, raw material research institute, and toured some key factories.

Hong Rada, Undersecretary of State of MISTI and Director of the Cambodia Food Processing TASK Center (FTC) Project, said, “This visit is not only for technical knowledge exchange and bilaterial cooperation in science and technology, but also a chance for Cambodian SMEs to explore market expansion and connect with potential partners, especially major factories using science, technology
The visit provided insights into pilot production operations, quality analysis, and packaging technologies. Additionally, Cambodian food manufacturers gained exposure to modern technologies and machinery, offering potential pathways to enhance their manufacturing capabilities and meet international market standards.
